Use of Glycerol as a Corn Replacement in Calf Starter Diets

Glycerol is a sugar alcohol by-product of bio-diesel production. About 1 gallon of glycerin is produced for every 10 gallons of bio-diesel. This report looks at incorporating glycerol into diets for pre- and post weaned dairy heifer calves.
