Farmers find that residues in their farm field may be the answer to keeping nitrate out of quality water supplies. Farm ag residues perform just as well as wood chips under cold weather conditions. This process allows farmers to reuse some of their farming crops while improving the environment and water quality in Minnesota. AURI is proud to continue research on this topic.
