Packaging Guide for Scalable Food Businesses (Webinar Wednesday)

Date: May 13, 2020
Time: 12 pm – 1 pm, CDT
Register: AURI Connects: Webinar Wednesday

Most packaged food businesses start similarly, with production at home or in a shared commercial kitchen, hand packing products into relatively simple, often store-bought packaging, and selling at a farmer’s market or self-distributing to a handful of stores. However, as these businesses grow, the form and function of their packaging must evolve to protect for food safety and quality when distributing through a professional supply chain, allow retailers to effectively merchandise, and differentiate itself from competitive products on the shelf. While every business and product are unique, there are many common packaging considerations that will help an entrepreneur as they seek to scale their business.

Please join Jason Robinson, AURI project development director, as he highlights key concepts of the Packaging Guide for Scaling Food Businesses. His session is designed to help both new and experienced food entrepreneurs understand the considerations and implications of packaging choices. During the webinar, Jason will break the content into three core content areas:

  • Food Protection & Safety
  • Protection Through Supply Chain
  • Differentiating at Shelf

AURI’s Packaging Guide for Scaling Food Businesses is available for download.
