Retail Store Owners

Language and cultural differences have made obtaining information about retail store owners difficult. Much of the information about retail store owners has been obtained from their suppliers - the meat brokers. It was estimated that there are approximately twelve to fifteen retail outlets for goat meat located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. A majority of these outlets are owned and operated by Somali entrepreneurs who appear to work closely with meat brokers. Additional unknown retail outlets may be located around the state or in metropolitan areas or surrounding states.
