Effects of ratio of condensed distiller’s solubles to wet distillers’ grains on performance of wean to finish pigs

Read the full report: Effects of ratio of condensed distiller’s solubles to wet distillers’ grains on performance of wean to finish pigs

About this report:

The objective of this study was to compare the performance of pigs fed diets containing 20% distillers’ dried grains with solubles (DDGS) to that of pigs fed diets containing combinations of wet distillers’ grains (WDG) and condensed distiller’s solubles (CDS).

Conclusions:

In conclusion, the results indicate that 17% WDG + 3% CDS is the best combination among the four treatments tested under the experimental conditions.

Project outcomes:

This research provides swine producers information related to the effects feeding wet distillers grains with solubles and condensed distiller solubles has on swine growth performance when utilizing liquid feeding systems. Combinations of WDGS and CS provided similar or improved average daily gains and feed efficiencies as traditional dry feed diets.
