Cropping Practices for Hybrid PoplarsPlantingCuttings are planted by placing them eight to 10 inches deep, so that not more than one inch of the cutting is above ground. The cuttings must be aligned prior to planting so that the buds are pointing upward. The soil should be packed firmly around the cutting.
