AURI has three field offices located in
Crookston (also the
AURI State Headquarters),
Marshall, and
Waseca. The field offices provide services to rural start ups,
existing businesses, cooperatives and commodity groups with ideas for new
uses for agricultural commodities. Services include business assessment,
feasibility analysis and product development support. AURI staff also
provides technical support to clients to increase the likelihood of
commercial success.
Staff serve as the conduit to help businesses access AURI programs. AURI
works with other agencies and organizations to provide a network of
resources. AURI staff work one-on-one with businesses to enhance their
chances for success and to foster business development in rural Minnesota.
AURI works to identify and assess opportunities for commercializing new or
value-added uses for Minnesota produced agricultural commodities based on
market opportunities and technical and economic feasibility. In addition
to working with Minnesota businesses, AURI also investigates emerging
opportunities through industry wide initiatives. These initiatives hold
the potential to impact a larger number of producers.
Each AURI office and staff member has unique skills and capabilities,
however, the collective strength of the organization is available to
Minnesota businesses.
