Southwestern Minnesota residents and businesses are served from AURIs Southwest Field Office located on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. The Southwest region includes 22 counties from Pipestone to Hutchinson. Key agricultural commodities in the region include corn, soybeans, hogs, turkeys, chickens and more. AURIs Southwest office includes a fats and oils laboratory for research on new uses for plant oils and animal fats. It also includes a meat lab that is used to assist in food product development and safety training. For more information contact: Dennis H.
