EDC TruckEnvironmental Dust Control began in 1996 in the business of applying soybean oil soapstock (Dustlock) as a dust suppressant. In that first year of business, EDC applied Dustlock on private and public roads, parking lots, campgrounds, and fairgrounds throughout Minnesota and into South Dakota. It is biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and affordable.

In 1997 EDC grew a lot. We had nearly three-fold increase from our start-up year. We also purchased our own spreader truck and did a lot of applying of Dustlock across Minnesota and expanded our applications further into South Dakota. Our current supplier has given EDC access to lab facilities, research and development help, a chemist, a consistent supply, and delivery services. We have found that different surface base materials may require a somewhat different product formulation.Truck spraying road

Past experience has shown that soybean oil soapstock has worked very well on gravel-type roads which carry a wide variety of traffic loads. When used at suggested levels, this material does not migrate into the ground water nor harm agricultural crops.

Environmental Dust Control, Inc. provides a complete service of applying as well as supplying product to those individuals or units of government that want or desire to apply the product themselves.
