Monte Koshel

Monte Koshel is a Project Manager for AURI. In his role, he leads and coordinates efforts of team members to plan, execute, and deliver AURI projects and external funding opportunities.


Most of Monte’s career has focused on team building within the realm of communications and marketing. Previous to working at AURI, he built his career at the University of North Dakota as the Executive Director of an intensive internship project called “Studio One”. The program had as many as 40 college students working as a team to produce, promote and execute a one hour, live, news magazine format television show. This sought after experience won more than 750 regional and national awards in its existence. In his last years with UND, he helped the institution implement a new brand through the use of video.


Monte has been a volunteer first responder in the town of Fisher, MN for more than 20 years. He enjoys everything outdoors and lives with his family on a small farm complete with horses and a small herd of chickens.
